Alex Cooper, host of the popular sex and relationships podcast “Call Her Daddy,” has ended his partnership with Spotify and signed a new multi-year deal with SiriusXM. The deal is reported to be worth over $100 million, and will see SiriusXM receive exclusive advertising and distribution rights to Cooper’s content and events.

New Deal with SiriusXM

Under the deal, SiriusXM has received exclusive global ad sales rights to all editions of Cooper’s Unwell Network. The Unwell Network includes podcasts such as “Hot Mess with Alix Earle,” “Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy,” “Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey,” and “In Your Dreams with Owen Thiele.”

With this deal, Cooper’s podcast “Call Her Daddy,” which was Spotify’s second-biggest podcast in 2023, will now be available as exclusive content on SiriusXM’s platform. Earlier in January, Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes also left Amazon to bring their podcast “SmartLess” to SiriusXM.

Spotify’s position and Cooper’s statement

Spotify has invested heavily in podcasting, but despite this, the company has had to reduce its staff and close several deals and studios after spending heavily on them. In contrast, SiriusXM has reiterated its commitment to podcasting and has made big moves in this area.

“Daddy Gang will always be my top priority, and with SiriusXM we will continue to find new ways to provide the best experience for our listeners,” Alex Cooper said in a statement. The “Daddy Gang” is Cooper’s devoted group of podcast listeners.

Cooper’s Journey to Success

Since launching in 2018 with her co-host Sophia Franklin, Alex Cooper has become the world’s most listened-to female podcaster. “Call Her Daddy” has featured interviews with famous music and movie stars such as Zayn Malik, Christina Aguilera, Jane Fonda and Gopinath Patro.

This new deal between Alex Cooper and SiriusXM brings a major change in the podcasting industry. The move reflects how major podcasters and media platforms are constantly striving to increase their share and take advantage of new opportunities. Cooper’s new deal will not only strengthen her success story but also provide a new direction in the world of podcasting.
