An increase in cases is also being seen in Europe, America and other regions.Major countries include Britain, America, France and Germany.

As of 2024, more than 70,000 cases of mpox have been confirmed globally, according to WHO reports. Globally, more than 1,500 people have died due to mpox. The Democratic Republic of Congo has seen children make up the majority of the 14,000 reported cases and 511 deaths so far in 2024,The figure includes countries that have seen a rapid increase in outbreaks in recent months.
