Barcelona defeated by Monaco

Hansi Flick-led Barcelona suffered a crushing 3-0 defeat to French Ligue 1 side Monaco in their last friendly before the start of La Liga.

Barcelona hosted the match at their home ground, Camp Nou, where they received massive support from their fans. But Monaco dashed their hopes during the game

It was a big blow for the German coach, who was playing his first home match since being appointed in May. After beating Real Madrid on their US tour, Barcelona completely collapsed in this match at the Olympic Stadium.

The 17-year-old briefly cheered, but after Christian Mawissa’s late third goal, supporters expressed their displeasure by whistling their team.

Barcelona will begin their La Liga campaign against Valencia on Saturday with an aim to snatch the Spanish league title from Real Madrid. This defeat is a big blow for Barcelona and they will need to improve their performance.
